Alex began his career in 2001 in an internal accounting function. In that role, Alex gained broad exposure to business operations and accounting issues. In 2007, Alex joined KPMG Denver in the federal tax practice, where he was able to focus on corporate international, federal, state, and local issues. During his tenure at KPMG, Alex worked with a wide range of industries including oil and gas, communications, pharmaceutical and construction. Alex joined TaxOps, LLC in 2011.

Alex graduated in 2001 from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree from the School of Business. In 2007, he graduated from Florida State University with a Master’s Degree in Accounting with a concentration in taxation. Alex is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Colorado, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants.
