Tax Managing Directors – Salt Lake and Boise
We are seeking entrepreneurial tax professionals to establish TaxOps locations in the Salt Lake and Boise areas. These partner level professionals will assist in the development of a public, venture capital & private equity backed client base in the software, technology, greentech, biotech, services and manufacturing industries. In addition, the Managing Director will assist with the development of a dynamic team of tax partners and professionals to serve the respective market.
Position Requirements:
- Entrepreneurial mindset/spirit – experience as an entrepreneur is not necessary, but a passion to run a business unit and take the actions necessary to obtain the desired outcome is a must.
- Strategic thinker – ability to grasp business strategy.
- Technical expertise – Broad exposure to federal and state income taxation and accounting for income taxes.
- Client leadership – Established record of building profitable, sustainable client relationships.
- Team leadership – History of successfully leading teams towards goal attainment.
- Market knowledge – Ability to understand the competitive landscape and how our key differentiators provide value in that market.
- Sales competency – History of successfully attaining revenue targets.
- A bachelor’s degree, preferably with an emphasis in accounting, finance, or a related field (an advanced degree in tax or law is highly desirable).
- A minimum of 12 years of relevant tax and leadership experience in a public accounting or tax consulting firm (Big 4 or second tier firm experience is highly desirable).
- Active CPA certification.

Tax Senior
We are seeking Tax Seniors to provide quality income tax services to clients and to look for ways to provide value-added services where needed. This person will be responsible for the preparation of 1120, 1120S, 1065 and other relevant returns for business entities as well as preparation of income tax provisions. Responsibilities also include tax planning and research. Positions are available in Lakewood or Meridian offices.
Position Requirements:
As a successful candidate, you will have at least 2-5 years public accounting experience in preparation and review of corporate, partnership, and S corp tax returns, and income tax provisions in accordance with ASC-740. Big 4 or second tier experience a plus. This position also requires a BS degree in Accounting. CPA or working towards a CPA certificate strongly desired. Strong communication skills, professional presence and attention to detail are imperative.

Tax Manager
We are seeking Managers to provide our public, venture capital & private equity backed clients with tax guidance and planning with a focus on implementing tax strategies that align with the client’s business objectives and to manage and review tax reporting compliance and consulting deliverables. Positions are available in our Lakewood or Meridian offices.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Provide timely and high-quality services and work products that exceed client expectations.
- Build client relationships and demonstrate knowledge of client business.
- Help to develop and guide staff and other junior tax professionals by providing effective performance feedback and ensuring team responsibilities are consistent with skills and developmental goals.
- Build on technical competence by keeping up to date on trends, developments and technical authorities and apply them to moderately complex situations.
- Demonstrate professionalism through a positive and cooperative attitude and by maintaining the confidential and proprietary nature of client relationships and related work products.
- Promote new ideas and business solutions that result in extended services to existing clients.
- Contribute to the overall success of the team by developing a thorough understanding of TaxOps methodologies and tools to enhance service delivery; keeping team members informed of work status; and proactively seeking opportunities to provide tax services to existing and new clients.
