State and Local Tax Partner Judy Vorndran is a member of the professional faculty who will be teaching classes at the State Income Tax School hosted
by the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT). IPT is a non-profit educational association serving over 4,200 members who represent approximately
1,450 businesses throughout the United States and Canada.
Five-days of classes will be held June 4 through June 9 at the Wylie Inn, a Boston waterfront conference center at Endicott College. These courses will provide an in-depth examination of complex problems in state and local tax (SALT), including nexus and entity concerns, apportionment, unitary business, M&A, tax provision, and more.
Judy returns to the faculty this year to teach a diverse mix of topics, including:
- Income Tax Filing and Compliance
- Complex Problems in Combined Reporting and Advanced Return Mechanics
- Combined Reporting
- Coordinating Federal and State RARs and Compliance
- Advanced Issues in Using and Accounting for Net Operating Losses

Judy is a recognized leader in state and local tax (SALT) solutions and frequent speaker, instructor, and writer on SALT issues that matter to dynamic businesses. She is a 2014 Distinguished Faculty member for Lorman Education Services and designated a Colorado Woman to Watch by the Colorado Society of CPAs.
