Leigh Shuster is versed and versatile in managing the full complement of tax issues. With broad-based experience in both the private sector and public accounting, Leigh has seen, worked with and tamed some of the most complex tax issues for businesses across all disciplines–federal, state and local, and international tax. This well-rounded background in tax lends itself to a deep understanding of the wide-ranging implications it can have on business strategy.
Her resourcefulness is bred from a background rich in tax, project, and people management. Previously, Leigh worked for a regional accounting firm managing large, multi-state engagements. She also spent time at telecommunications giant Comcast Cable executing 150,000+ Schedule K-1 returns each year and fielding related taxpayer questions. At tech-based Exabyte Corporation, Leigh dove into domestic and international tax planning issues and completed transfer pricing studies as well as implemented automated tax solutions. Her time with Price Waterhouse, now PwC, as a tax senior segued into similar work with Quark Inc., a desktop publishing software manufacturer.
Leigh is a CPA licensed in Colorado and holds a Master of Accounting and bachelor’s degree from Florida State University. Outside of work, she spends time with her family–her husband Rod, 19-year old twins, Casey and Mandy, who just finished their first year at college, and her beagle named Rocco. She also loves to exercise, spend time outdoors, travel and read.
